Restaurante Ascencio Tacos y Chelas

After trying four different kinds of taco, I still do not know which one I liked the best. They were all unlike in the taco I have ever had with the flavor profiles and attention to detail. The chef really cares about his customers experience and it shows in the food. Also some amazing hard to find beers to accompany the meal.

Wow, this was a find. Amazing food, some of the best tacos I've had in Mexico and amazing craft beer selection to go with it. Small so if it's busy you might need to wait, but it will be worth it. And the owner was amazing. Took the time, listened, took care of us. Unbelievable.

This is one of those places we will return to again and again. Why, because it's so delicious. Not only is the owner amazing and staff is friendly but also they never disappoint. Whatever you get, I guarantee one thing, and that is this dish has been prepared with love. The rib tacos are out of this world. I knew they were good as soon as the plate hit the table.

This place was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. The pork pastor and coconut shrimp tacos were off the charts. The mix of flavors was inspiring. Guacamole and margaritas were a great compliment to a delicious meal. Will not come back to PV without coming here!!

I cannot begin to say enough good things about this gem of a restaurant. From the genuinely friendly service, fantastic margaritas, amazing flaming humitas appetizer to the mind blowing tacos! Rumour had it these tacos were a force to be reckoned with…however that is an understatement! Chef proprietor Diego has built the flavours and paired the textures like nothing I've seen before. I walked away wanting more, knowing my next visit can't come soon enough. Next time you are in Puerto Vallarta, be sure to make the trek to Versailles to Ascencios!

This place is an eclectic taco place. Probably the best tacos I've ever eaten. We tried spare rib chicken and shrimp tacos. As you can see by the photos, there are 3 on a plate, plenty of food excellent service.

Great spot! Diego ( owner and chef ) was on point - his personality and passion for food and quality comes out. Not your average taco place - gourmet experience and great vibe with amazing food. Be coming back for sure!

My husband I just landed in PV. I’ve never stayed in this part of town. My husband has never been here. We checked into our air bnb and we’re pretty hangry and at each others throat at this point. We found this place. It turned our bad mood into profoundly happy. I’m not a pork eater but I ordered the pork rib pastor. Melt in your mouth. I had the watermelon margarita which was perfectly sweetened. The salsas were perfect. The staff were super friendly. The decor is trendy augar skull. Had a great selection of beer and tequila. Highly recommended!
